Michael Phelps, Vonn headline Crew USA Corridor of Fame’s Class of 2022

Michael Phelps, probably the most embellished Olympian of all time, and alpine snowboarding nice Lindsey Vonn headlined the USA Olympic & Paralympic Corridor of Fame Class of 2022 that was introduced on Monday.

Among the many 12 people being inducted are Natalie Coughlin (swimming), Mia Hamm (soccer), Michelle Kwan (determine skating), the late Pat Summitt (coach: basketball) and former tennis nice Billie Jean King who will go in as a particular contributor.

Phelps, the one male swimmer to compete on 5 Olympic groups, owns a report 28 Olympic medals, together with 23 golds, eight of which he captured in Beijing in 2008.

Vonn has three Olympic medals to her title, and is the one American girl to ever seize downhill gold on the Olympic Winter Video games. She can also be second on all-time internationally with a profession whole of 82 world cup victories.

The 1976 Ladies’s 4x100m freestyle relay swimming group and 2002 Paralympic sled hockey group additionally earned induction as did Paralympic athletes Muffy Davis (snowboarding and biking), David Kiley (alpine snowboarding, athletics, and basketball) and Trischa Zorn-Hudson (swimming).

A “legends” class may also see the late Gretchen Fraser (alpine snowboarding) and Roger Kingdom (athletics) inducted.

The Class of 2022 will likely be inducted throughout a June 24 ceremony in Colorado Springs.
